Yazeed joined AVANA Capital in 2017 as a data analyst after obtaining his Masters in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU in December 2016. He is supporting the modeling and reporting capabilities of AVANA Capital’s proprietary analytics and trading platform to help investment and risk professionals understand their security and portfolio level exposures.
Yazeed has experience in the telecoms industry and worked for Alcatel-Lucent for 7+ years in Libya, Uganda, and the UAE as a technical support engineer and integration professional. In 2013, he co-founded a telecoms startup in his hometown Benghazi, where he worked as a chief technical officer. During the 2011 war in Libya, Yazeed founded the first private radio station in Benghazi and worked as facilitator and interpreter for Human Rights Watch.
Yazeed graduated from the University of Benghazi in 2008, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2016 he obtained his Masters in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
